Spring Competition Results

Saturday 10th May saw the first club competition of the year, with a 6 hoop / 14 point AC competition.

The 6 competitors were drawn into two groups;

A - Simon Collinson, Norman Hicks and Steve Morgan

B - Mark Oldale, Bryan Gidley and Jim Martin

Play started at 10am with the groups double banking on the lawn (which was looking in lovely condition after the hard work from Mark, Bryan and Simon). The sun shone all day and there was some lovely croquet being played, the results of the group games were:

Group A

Simon vs Steve (14 - 12)

Norman vs Simon (0-14)

Steve vs Norman (9-8)

Group B

Mark vs Bryan (2-11)

Bryan vs Jim (9-8)

Jim vs Mark (9-14)

That meant Simon and Bryan played in the final, a repeat of the 2024 final. It was a great game and in the end Simon came out triumphant winning 14-2.
